UBMD Emergency Medicine is a non-profit faculty practice plan of the University at Buffalo Jacobs School of Medicine and Biomedical Sciences. We staff the Emergency Departments at leading hospitals across Western New York, providing high quality, compassionate care 24/7 to patients from every walk of life.

Emergency Department Services

The hospitals we serve benefit from the insight, experience and resources of an established, research-oriented medical school. Patient care is further enhanced by programs in Emergency Medicine Research, Emergency Medicine Ultrasound, and Sports Medicine.

Residency Program

Our residency program is designed to develop caring, compassionate, thoughtful emergency physicians with outstanding clinical acumen and technical skills.

The telemedicine team brings expert emergency care to patients where they are.

High quality addiction care across New York State

New York MATTERS works to provide efficient buprenorphine training to emergency physicians and create linkages between the hospital and substance use treatment programs. The program helps to widely expand access to high quality addiction care across New York State, helping to save lives in emergencies.
