The UBMD Emergency Medicine residency program is designed to develop caring, compassionate, thoughtful emergency physicians with outstanding clinical acumen and technical skills.
To gain these skills, UBMD Emergency Medicine residents rotate through:
- A busy trauma center with one of the best survival rates in New York State
- The busiest stroke program in the state with a world-renowned endovascular program
- An efficient and collaborative ST-Elevation Myocardial Infarction (STEMI) program
- A full service pediatric hospital with a Pediatric EM fellowship program
- Rural hospital experiences
- EMS/helicopter rotations
Multifaceted Experience
With faculty members representing 20 different residency training programs and community EM physicians, our residents get a wide variety of opinions, insight, and experience. Alumni of our residency program work all over the US and work in every imaginable type of Emergency Department.
